Abstract:
The issue of rural women’s land rights, a key challenge in rural conflicts, has gained global attention. This paper analyzes related literature at home and abroad with Citespace, and reviews previous research on the necessity of safeguarding these rights, violation status, causes, and protection mechanisms. Research shows that academic attention on this issue is insufficient both domestically and internationally. There are limited publications, concentrated research networks, and few frontier studies, suggesting the research is still in its early stage. Scholars worldwide recognize the importance of protecting rural women’s land rights and are aware of the violation situation and causes. International scholars, mainly through case studies in developing countries like those in Africa, focus on empirical research and find that rights violations are widespread and severe. Chinese scholars, on the other hand, offer comprehensive theoretical interpretations and propose context – specific formation principles and protection mechanisms. Nevertheless, most current research centers on legal theory, with many studies being similar and short of practical guidance. Future research should: clarify the nature of rural women’s land rights, stress problem – solving, and widen the research scope.
