This research investigates the determinants of transport accessibility and their influence on subjective well-being within the broader context of urban quality-of-life. Focusing on Bangkok, Thailand, the research addresses persistent challenges of inequitable access, travel inefficiency and safety concerns that undermine sustainable urban mobility. A quantitative analytical framework was developed to measure accessibility and its multidimensional impacts, employing the Accessibility by Proximity Index (API) as a spatial indicator integrating distance, travel time and service coverage. Using survey-based and spatial datasets, statistical analyses were conducted to quantify how transport accessibility correlates with individuals’ perceptions of satisfaction, comfort and well-being. The findings reveal that accessibility exerts both direct and mediated effects on urban quality-of-life through enhanced mobility opportunities and reduced travel burdens. The research contributes to evidence-based planning by quantifying the interlinkages among transport accessibility, subjective well-being and sustainability outcomes, offering insights for policies that promote inclusive, resilient and human-centered urban transport systems.
