Biography

Ma Pingping (born June 1994, female) is from Jiaozuo, Henan, China. She is a Ph.D. student at the School of Economics and Management, China University of Mining and Technology. Her research focuses on environmental management and economic policy, energy and environmental system engineering, and multi-stakeholder collaborative participation.

She has led two research projects funded by the Jiangsu Province Graduate Research and Practice Innovation Program and one project supported by the Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities (Doctoral “Future Scientist Program” Key Project). She has also participated in multiple projects, including National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) General Projects and Jiangsu Provincial Social Science Fund Projects.

In recent years, she has published more than ten papers as the first author or co-author in SCI/SSCI/CSSCI journals such as Journal of Environmental Management, Environmental Impact Assessment Review, Computers & Industrial Engineering, Journal of Cleaner Production, Systems Engineering Theory and Practice, China Management Science, China Population, Resources and Environment, and Environmental Economic Research. She also serves as a peer reviewer for journals such as Journal of Environmental Management and PLOS ONE.

Several of her think tank reports have been adopted by the Shenzhen municipal government and the Ministry of Education’s Consultation Bulletin. She has received numerous awards and honors, including:

  • Second Prize in the “Jiangsu Social Science Application Research Excellence Project”
  • First Prize at the Jiangsu Province “Green Transition and High-Quality Development” Academic Innovation Forum
  • Second Prize in the National Finals of the 10th National College Student Energy Economics Academic Innovation Competition
  • Second Prize in the China International College Students Innovation Competition (Provincial Level)
  • “Outstanding Paper” at the 25th China Management Science Annual Conference
  • Title of “Top Ten Female Graduate Students” at China University of Mining and Technology
